When the facts contradict the urban legend, bugger the facts and pour scorn on people who check them
Bonni Benstock-Intall the Holocaust denier is getting all excited at the thought that the dead Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev might be buried in Arlington National Cemetery because a USAF veteran called Julie Frein has offered to give up her own plot there.
I know Bonni refuses to have anything to do with snopes.com because she reckons it's run by Joooos, but she should have paid a little more attention to Snopes and a little less to random neo-Nazi bloggers calling themselves things like "Joe For America" and writing illiterate diatribes about how the only reason women were ever allowed in the military was a "social experiment". (Try telling that to a female Israeli soldier, Joe, and then count your teeth when you've picked them up.) Because as Snopes reasonably points out, Arlington plots are non-transferable, so whatever Ms Frein's wishes on the matter, Mr Tsarnaev won't be buried there. But Bonni would hardly allow a little matter of easily checked fact to impede a good story, especially when her batshit-crazy fellow-blogger attempts to implicate President Obama in all of this somehow.
Come ON, guys: if you're going to manufacture faux outrage over non-stories and fabricate non-existent linkes to your elected President shouldn't you be following the herd and mooing plaintively about "Benghazigate"?
UPDATE: it looks as though someone else has donated a plot which is fully transferable, so that Mr Tsarnaev can have a decent burial after all. No doubt the likes of Bonni and her fellow-employees in the Islamophobia Industry will be orchestrating death threats against Paul Douglas Keane and organising vandalism of the Mount Carmel cametery: because there's no better way to demonstrate one's commitment to American values than by trashing graves, right?
FURTHER UPDATE: Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried. Good.
