Here is a great article on why there are so many people all over the world aching to carry out terrorist attacks on the USA (and, to the extent that we have been involved in all this slaughter of innocent people, on Britain).
Of course, some people just don't get it:
"This terrorism isn't our fault. We didn't cause it. It's not the consequence of foreign policy.
"It is an attack on our way of life. It is global. It has an ideology.
"We will not win until we shake ourselves free of the wretched capitulation to the propaganda of the enemy that somehow we are the ones responsible."
[Tony Blair, September 2006. Labour Party conference speech]
Typical Blair. Always on the lookout for "eye-catching initiatives with which I can be personally associated" when it's a question of polishing his image for the Tory press or pocketing some more money, but when the "eye-catching initiatives" leave a trail of corpses and atrocities he runs a mile from taking responsibility.
